CabbageStorytime: While in Firenze, I lived on a rather tall hill called Costa di San Giorgio. Walking to and from the nearest market was quite the workout. One afternoon, after enjoying a piccolo fragola & cooccolato gelato, I went to pick up some produce from the market. Thinking that I had grabbed iceberg lettuce, I proceeded to checkout and began walking home. Halfway there, my arms became weak as I inclined in 100 degree weather. At home I pulled out my iceberg lettuce and realized that it was not what I had expected. Sì Ragazzi, I had purchased a two pound head of cabbage! Boil it, I thought. So I did. However my kitchen cabinet contained nothing but pasta, pasta, and a tiny jar of peanut butter. Plain cabbage it was. I'd like to share with you my favorite food, which happens to be "Sarma", or cabbage rolls. Tip: You can never add too much smoked meat!
